Glass has become the 'modern' building material, with exceptional research and development from the major glass producers across the world, we now have a wide range of different glass, each with their own unique properties.

Low 'E' glass offers a heat reflective surface which when used in double glazing units give insulation properties equal to or better than a triple glazed unit and virtually eliminates cold spots around windows.

Pilkington 'Activ' has a coating on the surface of the glass which uses the ultra violet light of the sun to activate the coating to create an electrical charge to separate the dirt from the glass and then allows the rain to wash the dirt away.

There is now a wide range of fire rated glass available, from wired glass to clear un-wired glass which can achieve ratings up to 120 minutes for integrity, stability and insulation when glazed into a tested glazing system.

Back Painted Glass, a very versatile glass is available in any RAL, British Standard or Dulux or any other paint code and can be used as a splashback to replace tiles and eliminate grout lines, table tops can now be colour co-ordinated to the room, wall cladding and shower walls are easy to keep clean, counter tops for hotel and office receptions, we keep on finding new uses for this glass!
