Leaded Lights Genuine leaded lights are made using lead 'H' cames of different sizes around individually cut clear, obscured or coloured glass panels, they are then sealed with leaded light cement to produce a weather tight glazing panel.
Standard leaded lights are made in Rectangles (called squares), Diamonds, Gothic and Queen Anne designs.
Decorative leaded lights incorporating coloured glass can be made to almost any design for the grand entrance, landing window, screen or church.
A cheaper alternative to using genuine leaded lights would be to use Imitation leaded lights, these are made by using one pane of glass and applying self adhesive lead strip to both sides, coloured film can be applied to give that stained glass look. Imitation leaded lights can be used in double glazing units where genuine leaded lights can not. |
