Composite Doors

Combining the sympathetic movement of materials, thermoplastic skins, aluminium and timber, the Homesafe entrance door is extremely strong and will with stand warping, twisting, bowing and swelling, thereby giving bind free operation with minimal maintenance for years to come.

All Homesafe doors are faced with high impact thermoplastic skins, they are available in white, blue, red, green, black and brown and with woodgrain effects. Whichever you choose, you will never have to worry about painting or staining them.

The door skins are fixed onto a laminated timber subframe which is manufactured to the size your opening requires. This material has been chosen for it's combination of strength, workability and dimensional stability. Strong dovetail joints lock tightly and securely together ensuring there is no movement during manufacture or service.

At the heart of every Homesafe door is a high density expanded polystyrene core filling all internal cavities. This thermally efficient structure delivers an optimum door leaf u-value below 1.0 W/m2K.

A unique patented glazing system developed exclusively for use in the Homesafe door, secures a toughened or laminated double glazing unit in place without the need for adhesive tapes or messy silicones. A double glazing unit can easily be replaced without the need for buying a replacement 'cassette', like other composite doors on the market.

There are seven basic door styles available, each with a choice of different glazing options, there are three different types of locking mechanism (one of which complies with the requirements of 'Secured by Design'). Also available are two different types of low threshold, house numbers, door knockers, spyholes, letter plates and door chains.

Garage Doors

Because the Duration garage door fits behind the brickwork opening, has full height steel guides and full width dual locking bars, it provides a very high level of security. In addition, the aluminium bottom rail is specifically designed to reinforce the door against intruder penetration.

Whether you choose manual or the luxury of automatic operation, the Duration garage door is easy to operate. The doors incorporate a spring assisted mechanism in the roller providing precise balance and giving the user effortless operation. A fine balance between the weight of the curtain and the upward pull of the springs is maintained regardless of the position of the door.

To further enhance the smoothness and quietness of operation, the doors incorporate revolutionary 'Polyglide' running strips which guide the door with minimal friction.

Unlike up and over style garage doors, the Duration door rolls up vertically and consequently doesn't swing out in front of the garage. This means you can park right up to the door and benefit from more hanging space in the roof of the garage as well.

Both the Duration garage door itself and the roller mechanism are designed to require extremely low maintenance. Wherever possible, hard wearing nylon parts or bearings are used to reduce friction without the need for lubrication.

Doors are supplied in durable HP200 Colorcoat pre-finished steel with Plastisol coating. Plastisol is a proven, very hardwearing surface which ensures that Duration garage doors maintain their appearance for many years without requiring painting.

The doors are available in Eleven colours and made to order to fit your opening without the need for further cutting on site.
